You can expect to see the first trailers for Warner Bros.' Terminator Salvation (May 22, 2009), which of course also stars Christian Bale, Zack Snyder's graphic novel adaptation Watchmen (Mar. 6, 2009), and the Ridley Scott-directed thriller Body of Lies (Oct. 10), with Leonardo DiCaprio and Russell Crowe.

Christian Bale Terminates us Three times!

Not just one, but THREE new Terminator films are in the works. Perez and others are reporting that Christian Bale has signed up to play John Connor in all three of the sequels:

Christian has already begun filming the first film, Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins.

The film is set to debut on May 22, 2009.

Victor Kubicek of film company Halcyon, says Bale is "really an actor's actor, so we're very proud. Christian was our first choice and he's a big fan of The Terminator, so we're very lucky. But with Batman he's already done the whole franchise thing, so we weren't sure he'd respond."

Hey, as long as it pays big!

Apparently Bale fell so in love with the (money) script that he's already signed to make all three films.

PG-13 for new Terminator movie??

Sorry, but I can't quite picture this. The new Terminator movie, starring Christian Bale as John Connor will be PG-13? Well, I guess they toned it down for the TV Show. Are you ready for Terminator happy meals?

Variety reports:

The "Terminator" will indeed be back -- but this time with a more kid-friendly rating.

As production starts today on "Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins," the next installment in the action franchise, producers at the Halcyon Co. say they aim to deliver a PG-13 movie to Warner Bros. for release on May 22, 2009.

The "Terminator" series is one of the highest-grossing R-rated franchises of all time, with the first three films having grossed more than $1.03 billion worldwide. But Halcyon producers thought it was time to broaden the upcoming fourth film's audience base, and they believe the PG-13 won't compromise the series' gritty vision.

"The ratings have changed," said Halcyon co-founder and co-CEO Victor Kubicek, a broker-turned-writer-producer. "The PG-13 has increased in intensity."

Move follows last year's "Die Hard" film, "Live Free or Die Hard," which went out with a PG-13 after three prior R-rated installments. That pic went on to gross $382.1 million worldwide, making it the highest-grossing in the series.

A family-friendly rating opens many doors, including a "Terminator Salvation" licensing deal for action figures with Playmates Toys.

I AM excited about Christian Bale as John Connor. I can't think of anyone I'd like to see more in the role.
