It's My Birthday, Too, Yeah!
You say it's your birthday
It's my birthday, too, yeah!
Today is my birthday and I share it with Sir Paul McCartney(68), so this song has always had special meaning for me. Also, Roger Ebert(68) shares our day.
We're gonna have a good time
Now it's your birthday
Happy Birthday to you!!

Happy Birthday Clark Gable!
Happy Birthday Clark Gable!
Most people think first of Gone with the Wind, but my favorite Gable film is the classic romantic comedy It Happened One Night. Clark Gable is a journalist on the trail of an heiress (Claudette Colbert) running away from marriage.
In this Walls of Jericho scene, they're sharing a small cabin in a rain storm. Clark Gable taking off his shirt with, *gasp*, no undershirt was completely scandalous in 1934. Still pretty darn hot in 2010!
At the end of the film, they honeymoon back at this same cabin, and you hear the sound of a trumpet!

Happy Birthday Elijah Wood!
Happy 29th birthday to Elijah Wood! I was curious what he's been up to, as we haven't seen him in a movie since Everything is Illuminated. He had a voice part in the animated film 9, and is signed on to do Happy Feet 2. His latest project to be released actually premiered last night at Sundance. The Romantics is about several friends from Yale who gather at a wedding 10 years later. Katie Holmes, Anna Paquin and Josh Duhamel also star. I found this clip of Katie Holmes and Elijah talking about the film:I hope Elijah finds some more interesting projects. It feels like too long since we've seen him in a leading role, and dancing penguins don't count.

Happy 35th Birthday, Bradley Cooper!
This was certainly Bradley's year with the success of The Hangover making him a breakout star. He has a small part in the upcoming ensemble film Valentine's Day. You've seen him in the trailer on a plane with Julia Roberts. But I recently read he actually plays a gay man in the film, involved with Eric Dane of Grey's Anatomy. Whatever. I'll be there watching! He stars also in the upcoming A-Team as Faceman, the role played by Dirk Benedict on the TV show. The A-Team comes out in June.
And of course, Hangover 2 is in the works.
