Italian Trailer for Gerard Butler's Game

Gerard Butler's film Game is due out September 4th and also stars Michael C. Hall, Alison Lohman, and John Leguizamo. Game is written and directed by the same guys who made Crank - Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor.

Set in a future-world where humans can control other humans in mass-scale, multi-player online gaming environments, a star player (Gerard Butler) from a game called "Slayers" looks to regain his independence while taking down the game's mastermind.

Can't understand the dubbed Italian, but we get a glimpse of the action and look of the movie:

Color me pumped!

Update - my son just let me know that the kid in this film is the same one starring in Percy Jackson!

Gerard Butler's Game pushed to 2009

Quiet Earth reports:

Gerard Butler's upcoming scifi actioner Game has been delayed until 2009 due to complications with some of the films complex visual FX work. The announcement was made by producer Gary Lucchesi at a recent press junket for the film Henry Poole is Dead. Apparently, no official date has been set for the film, but I imagine going toe to toe with flicks like Transformers 2, Terminator: Salvation, Avatar, and the J.J. Abrams Star Trek reboot will only make setting the release date harder to figure out. I only hope that Game doesn't get some wet behind the ears limited release followed by a quick dump out on DVD. That would suck. Lucchesi went on to say that he expects some teaser footage to appear around Christmas.

Well, at least we'll have some teaser clips for our Xmas present! And I agree with Quiet Earth -- please God no limited release nonsense!

Yippee! A New RocknRolla Trailer

RocknRolla made a splash at Comic Con yesterday, and we have a brand spanking new awesome trailer, too! It even has the famous goofy Gerry dance! Here's the trailer for the movie Gerry says is better than sex (except with him):

Gerry Butler made the fan girls scream yesterday at panels for both RocknRolla and a first look at his action film Game. He threw chocolates out to the audience saying the place was turning into Seaworld! Read a great interview with Gerry in the LA Times: Gerard Butler loves the Ladies.

New pic of Gerard Butler in Game

Now this is what I'm talking about. The other picture from Game I posted earlier this week left me going meh. Just look at the arms on him! Suh-weet!
The plot summary from /Film:

The story takes place “in the not too distant future.” Kabel (Gerard Butler), a death row inmate, has unwittingly become a pop culture hero. Every week, millions worldwide tune in online to watch him and hundreds of other convicts battle in Slayers, an ultra-violent multi-player online game invented by technological genius Ken Castle (Michael C. Hall). To the wealthy young gamer who controls his every move, Kable is just a sim (simulation) character. To the resistance group that opposes Castle’s games as high-tech slavery, he is a critical element in their battle to take down the inventor. Caught in the crosshairs of two opposing forces and under the command of a teenager’s remote device, Kable must use his extraordinary fighting skills to escape the game, bring down Castle and overthrow the system. Game is currently scheduled for a TBA Fall 2008 release.

First Look at Gerard Butler in Game

This is the first picture out on the internets of Gerry in Game. It doesn't look like a nice press still to me. Meh. Call me unimpressed till we see some good pics. I'm still looking forward to the film!
