Trucker will be one to watch come Oscar time

Trucker is getting a lot of Oscar buzz for the performance of Michelle Monaghan. She's done some great supporting work before in films like Gone Baby Gone, and she's had success in lighter fare like Made of Honor and Eagle Eye. This film is an interesting gender reversal, as she plays what would normally be a man's role. This is what Roger Ebert tweeted today:“

This falls into the "Is it Wrong?" category. I just stumbled upon these amazing graphics of the Disney Princes, uh, made super sexy on Pink is the New Blog. What is just freakin' hilarious is that I'm sitting in my kitchen and the Disney Hercules movie is playing on the TV because my son was watching it. I haven't seen this movie in ages, and of all moments it's on when I see these drool-worthy pics! I especially like Eric's Fish Fetish tattoo!! You must, must, must see the whole set here and here.

Happy Birthday Ioan Gruffudd!

Ioan, 36 today, is of course just sublime as Horatio Hornblower above. If you've never seen the series, you should definitely rent it from Netflix. Amazing Grace is also superb and a must see. We haven't seen much of Ioan lately, and that's really criminal. He was Tony Blair in W., which I haven't had a chance to see yet (you mean someone besides Michael Sheen can play Blair? ;) ). On IMDB, he's listed in two projects in production, The Kid, and Banking on Mr. Toad not due out till 2010. Come out of hiding, Ioan, your fans miss your gorgeous visage, and lovely acting.
